For anyone who has been following the progress of my Sims 3 Bon Temps project I am pleased to present an update.
There is now an exclusive section for the project on my downloads website:
Updated Map Pictures:
We all know Sookie’s brother Jason is a pretty boy with killer charm but there’s not a lot going on upstairs is there?
However this makes for some of the funnier moments in the books and TV series as illustrated by the following pictures.
Since December last year I’ve been fusing my obsessions with Sims 3 and True Blood together by recreating lots and characters from the TV series in the game.
I’ve been using a copy of Twinbrook in which I’ve demolished all the premade residential lots.
Here’s how the map looks so far:
As you can see from the empty lots with labels I have quite a way to go but I’m really enjoying the project when I can give it time between work and college. In this project I am trying to use as little custom content as possible to ensure its accessible to most people.

When something catches my attention, which doesn’t happen often, it triggers a passion, obsession and thirst for further knowledge.
However I don’t turn stalker, or let it take over my life, I just enjoy pursuing these things with an enthusiasm that I like to call controlled obsession.
My current obsessions include:
The Sims 3 (PC game)
Having been a Sims fan since the original Sims series, I’m really enjoying the 3rd generation of the game.
I have my own website where I share my creations and stories Sims 3 Adventure
I’m primarily a lot builder and I try to be as custom content free as possible in my shared uploads.
I also enjoy playing and sharing my legacy stories on various forums and Facebook.
Below is a picture of one of the lots I’m proudest of making Kildare Castle Mansion
True Blood (Books & TV Series)
Ever since the first series of True Blood hit our screens here in the UK I’ve grasped at any and all related info that I can.
I have devoured the books (The Southern Vampire Mysteries) by Charlaine Harris but I’m also thrilled by the differences between the TV series and the books.
I mean, really where would we be if TV producer Alan Ball had killed off the wonderfully flamboyant Lafayette Reynolds like Charlaine did in the books? That said, I’m chomping at the bit to see how Alan handles the Eric Northman amnesia storyline from book four!
I despair at the time-lag between the USA and here in screening the series however and fully admit to finding ways of watching it sooner.
However my guilt kicks in and I end up watching it on FX UK and buying the DVDs when they are released as well as other merchandise from the HBO UK store. In between times I have spent time making desktop backgrounds using clips from the series with appropriate quotes. One of which is below:
